Is this a new application, or have you applied previously on the old website? New Application but Ive been in Mithril Paw for less than a week. Wanted to apply to keep with following rules, etc..
Why do you want to join the Mithril Paw?
1. Social reasons, Im a working mom of a 13 year old and a 9 year old and a wife of 14 years. Needless to say I dont see much of a social life. Ive been playing WOW on and off since beta and the guild I joined at the beginning has pretty much disolved and Ive been purely soloing in the WOW world for quite awhile...I want to meet people and have fun within a guild structure again!
2. To be able to see areas of the world I am unable to go alone. (**see #3 below)
3. To raid...not for gear (Im working hard on getting PvP set) but again to see and experice all of WOW and its been a long while since I raided...I miss it. Id like to start up again. Although...Ive not raided in WoW since I was in my 40s. I know nothing about raiding on the higher end of WOW or even half the time where to go. I know this may not bode well with some but to maybe help ease anyones questions...I played EQ1 as a Dark Elf Necro (solid play no breaks) from Oct 2000 til WOW Open Beta Test sometime in 2004.
During my time in EQ1, Ive been a guild officer, a few times my husband and I would co-lead raids. At low levels we raided twice a week. At higher levels we were in a manditory raiding guild where we raided 6 days a week at least 6-8 hrs per day...many times raids went much longer especially during Time raids, and flagging for Time. I could never raid like that again, *whew* hehehe...just too much and it became like a second job to me to where I stopped enjoying raiding and the game. So....Im no strainger to raiding, just a strainger to WOW raiding.
4. I LOVE the guild's name! The name is what caught my eye back in April and made me take notice of Mithril Paw!
5. Mithril Paw's members seem to be very helpful, nice, outgoing, easy to get along with, and fun to hang out with through guild chat/in game. I feel I could learn allot about how to play my toon better from many of your members and learn more of the game.
-tell us what makes you want to reroll, why do you want to do it with us, and what you wish to achieve by rerolling.
What usually makes me want to re-roll (IM hoping I understand to re-roll is to basically make a new toon but its set up as an alt?? Not as my main) is when Im at a point with my main to where I feel like I cant do anything else with her or I get way bored with daily quests and doing PVP.
I do have a little gnome rogue alt (Tejey) but shes really little like under level 20. I only play her on the days when I just need a break from the hunter, PVP, daily grind. I hope someday to get her into the guild...maybe when shes a bit higher...depending on what the guild's rules are about alts and such. Tell us a little about your previous experiences within WoW. -it doesnt matter what level your experience is, we just wanna know how much you have.
As far as raiding experience very very little...**see #3 above under reasons why I want to join Mithril Paw.
Ive pretty much only played my hunter since the game opened up to public after open beta test. With her Ive soloed probably 80% of her entire life. The guild I was in when I was low to mid level dissolved but before they all went separate ways we were just starting to get into raiding. I did do allot of instances together with my guild mates.
Ive just recently gotten into PVP..and been trying to learn PVPing for about the last three months...with the guidance from my husband. Im finding Im enjoying it quite a bit. PVP is a great way to work out after work stress. LOL *evil grinz*
Ive been working on doing daily quests to get my factions up as high as they will go.
Thats about it as far as my experience...mostly solo, some grouping, new to PVP, and very little raiding.
Tell us a little about why you've chosen the class you have. -ie why did you choose a warrior- are you a born tank or always wanted to have a go? Ive always been a player who likes the pet classes. The hunter class appealed to me because I like to play pet classes, I wanted to play a toon that could dual wield with swords and I liked the idea of being able to do lots of DPS with the bow!! I really thought the idea to be able to tame different beasts for pets to gain new skills was interesting too. So I chose the Hunter. Im glad I did, shes been lots of fun over the past 4 years.
Tell us about any guild experiences you may have had previously. -were you GM for your previous guild: or have you just got fed up of all the drama in your previous /gchat? In WOW I was a member of Deadz....they were a family oriented guild. Later on I did become an officer of the guild, but I didnt feel like I did much as an officer. Not like when I was an officer in my EQ guild...that officership was ALLOT of work.
Deadz was my only guild in all my play time inWOW. Until now, Ive not been a part of another guild.
The guild pretty much disolved and many members went on their own way..most of the guild went to play EQ2. There are still some people who carry the tag but for the most part the guild is mostly dead.
In EQ1, I was an officer of a feeder guild...later on I became an officer of the main guild and helped to bring back that guild after it had broken up. In both guilds I had to interview applicants, invite into the guild, research and help lead raids. Also help with any arguments that may have occured within the guild. It was allot of work! Like having a part time job type work. Now Im just pure happy being a normal member and enjoying the game without all the responsibilities of being an officer.
Tell us anything else that lets us know what sort of person you are. -whats your personality and disposition? average playing times? what do you enjoy in game? What do you do outside of WoW? Anything interesting we should know?
Until I get to know people...Im quite shy and very quiet. Im pretty easy going, easy to get along with and I will always help anyone if they ask .
My play times can be crazy and erratic. Depending on how the week is going at work..I could be on every evening for 1-2 hours Monday through Friday or I may not be able to log on hardly at all during the week. I do most of my playing during the weekends! Especially on Sat. My life outside of WOW: I work Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm Pacific Time. I am a mom of two kiddies...my 13 year old daughter and 9 year old son. Ive been married to my hubby for 15 years this past July.
Hobbies include reading fantasy series, fishing all over the coast of WA, going to the YMCA to work out 3-5 times a week, walking my 1 yr old Boxer Maggie, and bike riding the trails in our area.
I rarely watch TV...if I do..Im usually VERY tired and totally vegging out and not paying much attention to the show thats playing on the tube.
